Arsenal fans have been crying out for Arsene Wenger to sign another forward this summer and it appears their wish may finally come true.
After years of having to do with just Olivier Giroud, it appears that the Gunners are ready to get a deal done to bring Leicester City star Jamie Vardy to the Emirates.
The Mirror report that Arsenal have triggered the 29-year-old’s release clause and are hopeful of getting the deal sorted over the weekend.

The newspaper adds that Vardy, who currently earns £60,000-a-week, is demanding £120,000-a-week if he is to consider joining Arsenal.
Many supporters have been shocked by the news as the transfer would certainly be out of character for manager Arsene Wenger.
Normally the Frenchman doesn’t spend big on players who are 28 or above and it could be argued that Vardy isn’t a world class striker, something Wenger was adamant he wanted, if were to bring in someone to compete with Giroud.
However, Vardy has been in fantastic form this season as he helped Leicester to win the Premier League title by 10 points. The 29-year-old scored 24 goals and registered six assists for Claudio Ranieri’s men.
