Barcelona are reportedly ahead of Manchester United and the chasing pack of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea to secure the signing of PSG midfielder Marco Veratti according to Mundo Deportivo. The Italian has been linked with a move away from best part of a season, and all the big guns are reported to be interested in the defensive midfielder.

Marco Veratti’s agent has been doing all he can to make sure that his client’s attracting attention during the Transfer market. “He has been in Paris for five years now and he has to make a decision, earn a lot and not win or earn and become a champion.”

It is difficult to gauge how much truth is there in the rumour given the stage of the season. The price though, seems just about right. One thing is for sure, whatever money and whoever spends on him, it will be a great investment for years and years.
